The sports organization - Federation of health training and sports winter swimming of Russia and Universal Marathon Cold swimming Association invites you to share in the unique International go-ahead marathon in cool water on lake of Baikal and Angara river (300 kms from Irkutsk to Listvyanka to Slyudyanka to Baikalsk to Tanhoi to Baboushkin to Sandy to Listvyanka to Irkoutsk) from May 30 till June 10, 2002.
The Marathon on Baikal is unique on a plan and fulfillment of test 
stabilities of a human organism to extreme effect of a cold. It is an
opportunity to touch beauty and to feel virgin nature of the sacred sea - lakes
of Baikal.
Main idea of the Marathon is to attract attention in an ecological Problem of lake of Baikal to be convinced of an opportunity of a surviving and salvage of the person in conditions of effect of a cold! The purpose is not only demonstrating of sports achievements and reserve opportunities of the people occupied in environmental sanitation in a cold, but also to test new, developed by Association together with the scientists methods and means of scrambling with a frigorism, which blows on the Earth, still, hundred thousand human life annually!
Within the framework of preparation for fulfillment of the Design, Association including scientists of different Russian biological and medical institutes were conducted by screening competitions and swimming in ice water, during which the opportunities of participation most prepared athletes of cool water from miscellaneous countries and regions of Russia in the Marathon were taken comprehensively into account.
Cruise is executed on 2 decked comfortable motorship "of Irkutsk"
specially adjusted for cruise travels, inhering IRKOUT-2 company. Accommodation
